Behind every Blacksnow frame is the founder’s relentless pursuit of perfection. From chasing the bottom bracket and screw hole threads to pressing the headset, every single detail undergoes a rigorous manual inspection before it ships.
This year, we invested in a professional director’s workbench to complement our existing frame assembly stands. Using these together across different tasks has significantly reduced physical strain and improved our workflow.

To prevent any issues caused by paint overspray or welding slag blocking threaded holes, every single hole—including those for bottle cages and rear derailleurs—is meticulously chased with a tap. This ensures that when you receive your frame, you can effortlessly thread and tighten every bolt.

On rare occasions, steel frames can develop creaking noises in the bottom bracket area during hard pedaling. To prevent this, we use premium bottom bracket facing and chasing tools from Cyclus Tools, a leading German bicycle tool manufacturer. This extra step guarantees superior precision and alignment in the bottom bracket shell.

For customers who require headset installation, we are happy to provide this service. Pressing in a headset requires a variety of specialized tools. If you don’t have the proper equipment at home, we highly recommend having an experienced mechanic or local bike shop handle the installation.

Finally, after all these meticulous preparation steps and careful packaging, it takes us approximately 30 minutes to get a single frame ready for dispatch. It may not be the fastest turnaround, but perhaps this deliberate pace perfectly matches the spirit of steel frame enthusiasts like you. After all, we’re never in a rush when it comes to quality.
